1. Engine Speed Sensor
The grey wire is located on the edge of transmission, just above the flywheel ring. The sensor sends a signal via the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU utilizes this information to control fuel and boost. It also sends a signal to the G5 tachometer in the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used to link the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC, and the location of the camshaft to trigger the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of sync with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate the possibility of a chain stretch or jump in the chain link of the upper chain of timing. However the code will not be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
It is a little tricky to test because there are various pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms if the sensor is at full operation. If you're experiencing issues with this component, look for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, I experienced an abrupt drop in power like the engine is out of gas or the injectors are not firing at all. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the 4th one was dry. When i crank the engine, there are no sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th one stays shut. I tested the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I found 0ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is in another location.
I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temp value that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar but the actual pressure is 0.

3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal from the RPM sensor.
