Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations used.

The upgrade process is completely risk-free and does not affect the item's durability. It's an excellent choice for those who want to get an edge in combat but don't want burden their wallets. For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones.
